Police say that a special traffic plan will be implemented in Colombo city from today as several Vesak zones have been organized in conjunction with the Vesak festival.
The Bauddhaloka Vesak zone, Buddha Rashmi Vesak zone and Sirasa Vesak zone are scheduled to begin from today.
Accordingly, the police stated that a special traffic plan and security will be deployed in the areas where these Vesak zones will be held.
Also, since it is expected that the area around Galle Face will be filled with the public coming to watch the Vesak Siri, a special traffic plan is also scheduled to be implemented in that area.
