President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has instructed the Presidential Fund to provide Rs. 1 million to a family unit that lost their lives in a bus accident that occurred in the Garandiella area of Kotmale this morning (11).
Accordingly, the Presidential Fund has planned to provide this money to the relatives of the deceased immediately, the President's Media Division stated.
In addition, Deputy Minister of Transport Prasanna Gunasena stated that the government has decided to provide Rs. 1 million in compensation to each deceased person through the Sri Lanka Transport Board.
21 people have died so far in the bus accident that occurred when a SLTB bus fell into a ravine in the Garandiella area of Ramboda.
